Rejoice. Motorola XOOM will have bootloader that can be unlocked and relocked at will.

New devices coming out of Moto these days is loaded with a locked bootloader paired with one tamper-resistant scheme such as the world’s fastest smartphone, Motorola Atrix. Of course, all these have changed at least for the Motorola XOOM since it is a Honeycomb’s launch device that runs a completely bone-stock build of Android. Thanks to Google’s influence, Motorola XOOM’s bootloader can be unlocked and relocked at will. Hooray for the custom kernels’ developers!
